Programme Educational Objectives

Graduates of the programme B E CSE will attain
PEO1: To enable graduates to pursue higher education and research or have a successful career in industries associated with Computer Science and Engineering, or as entrepreneurs.
PEO2: To ensure that graduates will have the ability and attitude to acquire new skills and adapt to emerging technological changes.
PEO3: To ensure that graduates will be professional and ethical in their work, contributing to the advancement of society.

On successful completion of the program, our graduates will be able to
PSO1: Investigate challenging problems across various domains with appropriate computational techniques, construct solutions systematically and evaluate their effectiveness.
PSO2: Apply software engineering principles and practices for building high quality innovative software systems by adopting contemporary and emerging information processing technologies.

Program Outcomes

On successful completion of the program, our graduates will be able to
PO1: Engineering knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.
PO2: Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.

PO3: Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
PO4: Conduct investigations of complex problems: Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.
PO5: Modern tool usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modelling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.
PO6: Engineer and society: Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice.

About the Department

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering from the day of its inception in the year 2009 has been taking long strides in the field of Science and Engineering. The Department has been started with an intake of 60 in the year 2009-10. The department of Computer Science and Engineering’s main goal is to give students a top-notch education that will prepare them for the problems of the future by giving them the skills to build, plan, administrate, and manage the newest technology in the area.
The Department aims at granting quality education and endeavors to extinguish the hunger for information. The Department has best in class infrastructure and computing equipment upheld by high speed LAN.
The Computer Science Department comprises of all around qualified experts with a wide teaching knowledge. Faculty members hold doctoral and postgraduate degrees from famed institutions with specializations in several subjects.
The course deals with areas of Python Programming, Cloud Computing, Mobile Communication, Networks, Cryptography, Green Computing, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Internet Programming, Human Computer Interaction, Java Programming, Compiler Design, and Database Management Systems, etc.
The Department organizes number of Guest Lectures, seminars, conferences and Industrial visits every year. Students are encouraged to participate in various activities like paper presentation, technical quiz, software debugging, sports, NSS, YRCC, and cultural activities. The students of our department have good communication and Inter personal skills. Their thoughts and creativity has yielded them State level prizes.
