National Service Scheme (NSS)
Sri Rangapoopathi College of Engineering(SRPCE) has an active NSS unit from 2015 onward but it was officially got approved from 2020 with a Coordinating Officer Mr.M.Selvam(Assistant Professor of ECE Department).It is a part of the NSS wing of the affiliating University viz. Anna University, with a dynamic crew of 50 students. The NSS wing periodically organizes the various programmes of our colleges and takes up the following activities
NSS regularly conducting the following activities:
 Swachh Bharath Scheme
 School Renovation Program.
 Old-age Home Visit.
 Kabasura Kudineer (An immune booster solution) to people during Covid-19.
 Collection of Waste Plastics
 Various Awareness programmes on the need of the hour for common public.
 Tree saplings plantation programmes,
 Health Camp Programmes,
 Sports Competition for School Students.
 Clean up Campaign programmes etc...
The NSS unit highly focuses on educating the neighbouring villages about sanitation and hygiene. Through these activities students develop a feeling of responsibility that they should contribute back to the society and the environment. Also at the emergency times student and staff volunteering themselves in activities like distributing Kabasura Kudineer, to the needy people. Periodical Camp programmes are also conducted, in which NSS activities which include revamping the various school buildings and temples. Awareness programmes are also organized for the public to sensitize on social issues like traffic regulations, fire safety awareness programmes, Old-age Home Visit, Collected Wastage Plastics and Sports & Dance Competition for School Students etc…
